    Egr dpf delete

Don't do it if you're in California or expect to visit our Great State of Insanity (aka Calif). All diesel P/U's must get a two year inspection for re-registration and the Delete is a automatic fail. Second, if you're visiting and wind up a dealer there's a good chance you won't drive out...

    53 block again

When I worked for Cummins in the 90's I was fortunate enough to visit the Walesboro plant where the engines being sold to Dodge where built. Needless to say very interesting. More interesting to note was the fact that they were sourcing block castings from two different suppliers. One was a...

Looking to have a full delete done in my area ?

FYI - Don't ever come to California with a Delete Kit on a truck. If for some reason you have to go to the dealer for any reason there's a strong possibility that they won't release the truck until the truck is back to stock. Needless to say VERY EXPENSIVE.

Front seats in an '07 - UGH!

Old topic but new thread... The front cloth seats in our '07 4x4 with 90K on the clock have finally gone from semi-comfortable to "Where's the Sawzall?", plus the cloth is looking like it's ready to tear. I've searched the posts for older threads and found comments about re-padding the seats...

    Archived Engine just quit again

Jess, Actually it was I, "RP Neet" that responded with my findings on the issue. I think you mistook my reply to Rusty as his. No worries though as, just like you said, it's the active involvement of all the members that make this the best of all forums. Cheers ... . Rick aka "RP"

    Archived Engine just quit again

To Rusty, Same thing happened to my Dakota years ago. It would just die while cruising down the interstate. Call AAA, they'd tow it to the dealer, and the dealer tech would then drive it into the work bay. After three "no fault codes exist" diagnosis I told the dealer after the 4th tow in to...

    Archived Engine just quit again

PROBLEM SOLVED! It was a corroded connection where the positive lead from the battery connects to the main fuse block. See attached photo. The truck died again, this time 120 miles from home. Called AAA for a tow back to my local dealer. AAA responds but says they can't do a long distance...

    Archived Engine just quit again

    1) $185. 00 for a troubleshoot & diagnosis to "maybe" find the cause, or 2) "keep driving it until it quits working and then the diagnosis will be easier". The truck's still covered under it's extended warranty until June so I'd like to get the issue solved before then. FWIW - New batteries...

    Archived Engine just quit again

My 2007/5. 9L with 66K miles on the Odo just quit abruptly while driving thru a parking lot at 10Mph. I stopped the vehicle and it re-started immediately and ran as if nothing happened. Afthe finishing my errands and three more start/stop cycles I headed to the closest Dodge dealer(20 miles by...

Archived Body shop warning!! 2nd Gen' trucks & newer

Hi Gals & Gents, This is a heads up regarding any repairs done by a body shop to the front end of your truck. My story of woe follows(with a happy ending). Recent increment weather, and my wife's driving skills, caused a mountain to bite the driver side of my 2007 SLT 4x4. Damaged parts...
