    2011 4500/5500 with urea

Well its possible that the larger vw's use it, but I know for a fact that none of the 2. 0 tdi's use it. The 2. 0 is what is found in the jetta, golf, passat (soon) and the Audi A3

    Aisin-NV5600 swap...

no, its not that at all. Im fairly satisfied with it. However, I want to "play" with it some as well, and there are ZERO upgrades available for it. I cant take the risk of killing my work truck just for a little fun. So, I was contemplating the swap, because I know I can put a good DD3250 or...

    Aisin-NV5600 swap...

Just as the title says... . anyone have any pointers? im gather info on this to determine if its something I should seriously consider, or just buy another truck... which my budget doesnt really allow... and seeing how Ive done numerous "upgrades" to mine... .

    Aisin Fluid Lines

Do you know how accurate it is? I mean, what is the degree of difference between that type of install, verses either a probe in the pan or a cut in the line with a probe installed?

    Aisin Fluid Lines

Can someone tell me which line is the hot line going to the front? I need to pull it off and attach a sending unit to it for my new temp gauge... has anybody done this? or has anyone put a mechanical gauge on theirs?

    What is this!?!

yes it is on my 07. But the only time Ive seen the locker retrofitted onto a pre-march 09 truck is if the ecm was replaced... mine wasnt. it was just flashed... .

    What is this!?!

Ive never had a programmer or anything on my truck. The only thing plugged into the ODBII port besides the starscan was a generic code reader and that was only once, and 65k miles ago... . the tech told me that the bootloader was just something that prepared the ecm for the latest flash...

    What is this!?!

Recently had to go to the dealer due to a faulty turbo speed sensor. While there, they did this to my truck, without asking... . sag2, please help!! will this make my smarty a no-go?

    First observations

Yep, its an auto. I think I understand what youre saying... at low rpms, say taking off from a stop light, there is a bit of hesitation. Almost like a zero boost situation. Once I get to 1800+, it really comes to life, and like you stated, over 2000, it screams almost instantly to redline. I...

Went to the auto show today

I love the new look, I love the old look, and I love 1st gens that have been well cared for. But I do agree with you on the glorified mufflers they are putting on these things... wonder when the 09+ bootloader will be cracked... . :D

Went to the auto show today

i love the quote someone has in their sig (cant remember if its on TDR or cumminsforum) it says "if only I could keep the Dodge from rusting off the Cummins!" lool I love the new trucks as well. and of the 3 I have, 2 are paid for, and working on the 3rd. I want a new 5500 with the new body...

    Who Has 100K, 200K or More On a 6.7

yes... i actually thought that episode was very lame... . i was so excited to watch it and then let down tremendously... so i come back to the forums for intelligent cummins talk :-laf

    First observations

It really sounds like you need convinced to go with the auto :-laf From reading your posts, I think you'd be more than happy with the auto. When I mentioned maintenance costs, I believe the p/u auto is way cheaper than the c/c? ya, just checked geno's... BOTH filters for teh 68RFE are ~$47...

    First observations

Wow, something seems off with that... my c/c in regen acts like i put 120hp tune in it... . night and day power difference i guess due to the "4th" injection, extra fuel left over in the cylinder?
