    That sounds really low. I would definately have it checked out. Those HotRod VP's are not cheap. Those pumps especially need good pressure consistantly. I'd check your pumps. Get rid of them both and go with a Fass System or Airdog.

    Put the high performance pump in last week and Holy Sh**. What a difference between stock and high performance. I love it!

    My truck is like that I have the fass 150 with the draw straw. Once I get below a 1/4 tank it sloshes around and psi cuts in and out. So I just fill it up before it gets to a 1/4 tank

    Yep torqued the nut to spec I believe it was 125ftlbs or in that area. So I ordered a bd high performance pump. Hopefully they hold up better.

    I know the keys are specific. Mine is an 036. The pump spins, dont feel any rough spots. Evidently siezed and caused the first key to shear.

    Does anyone know where I can find good literature on how the vp44 works. I had someone ask me today how it works as far as controling timing electronically. I couldn't give an answer. I'd like to learn more about it other than the fact there expensive.

    Its either the a/c compressor or the intake heater kicking on causing a draw. Whicjh are the normal that can cause the idle to change.

    Water pumps will last as long as you want them to. As long as you maintain the coolant and keep an eye on the acidity level and freeze protection.
