    Fuel Cap???

Bought mine for about $30+ 4 yrs ago; does the trick. This B.S. cheap a-- money saving re-engineering something where it's not called for, still & forever will bug the s--t out of me whenever I fuel up. This just CANNOT be a $$$ saving effort considering the engineering, design & new...

    emissions recall 67A

Greetings; I'm NOT inclined to adhere to this emissions recall. I'm getting 23mpg @ 60mph, for 200 miles. Now the question is: Am I eventually going to be guilty of a Federal Mandate/Crime? How far reaching is the FCA reporting to the Feds re: compliant customers & the "rebels".

    Anyone documnt MAX PULLING w/2018, 6.7TD, 68RFE, 4x4?

As much as I may have sounded like pulling my rear axle off, this volunteer venture led to the question of how much pulling force (in lbs.) is my truck capable of, on dry road, in 4x4 Low gear. That then led to the question of what size HDPE (Dyneema, etc.) rope would match that stress. I've...

    Anyone documnt MAX PULLING w/2018, 6.7TD, 68RFE, 4x4?

Greetings fellow Patriots! I'm thinkin' 'bout helping pull some logs from a field's edge to & down a semi-paved road, for a friend. I'm thinkin' 'bout "investing" in some SK75 Dyneema HDPE rope. 3/8" MBS rated @ 19,600# Stated towing cap. is 17K#, but in 4x4 Low, how much can my modest truck...

    Red Lightning bolt

HI & everybody's right. Voltage don't mean s..t. I didn't know how to interpret the 8V displayed on my dash screen. It was 12 deg & hoping for a quick answer, nada. Next morning it took 2+ hours to extract the batteries. I didn't have myh neighbor's tester 'till later on the way to...

    Red Lightning bolt

Howdy sir; I'm unable to verify if one is bad, yet. Pass Neg & driver Pos removed, showed 12.76V-12.78V for both. I'll try to be more thorough tomorrow & completely disconnect one at a time for a "load test" with borrowed wigget. It promises to be 15deg Thursday, a good break.

    Red Lightning bolt

Greetings; "Remote start disabled." It's -1 this morning. Disconnected pass. batt neg & read 12.78V. Disconnected driver battery pos & was 12.76V. Reconnected batts. Turned on ignit & dash msg "<8 Volts". When started manually, most truck screen options were greyed out & dash displayed...

Needed engine S/N to buy Fleetguard Oil Filter

WOW gang!! Thanks for the great input. I kinda stopped being a backyard 'wrench monkey' when I sold my '04.5. Guess the 'maintenance romance' got worn thin over 63 years, eh. Oh BTW, the $245 tab for LOF includes $80.11 labor to get at the filter & then putting intake structures back in...

3rd Gen Banks Economind Module & Cable - AUCTION ENDING 10-5-2023

Greetings my fellow diesel rats & smoke eaters! Sad to say my '04.5 (375,231mi) found a new home 5 years ago. 6 yrs ago I had issues with the Banks Economind Module, to return home from our Florida vac. They over-nighted a replacement. It was the wrong model for my truck, thus I was stuck...

Needed engine S/N to buy Fleetguard Oil Filter

Hi Ozy; Slight correction for ya; mechanically the filters may fit anything, but the motor's "filtering specs" have changed, thus the 2018 6.7 filter is spec'd for 3 microns, as others the same size for other years engines are typically 5 microns, etc. That's why I was picky with regards to...

Needed engine S/N to buy Fleetguard Oil Filter

Greetings Pards; Had my first NON dealer oil change @ local trusted shop, for a little less $$ and better personalities. The shop called to report cannot get a Fleetguard oil filter. I replied that its necessary to support any future engine claims I may have to make on my extended maintenance...

RAM AIR SUSPENSION - 2500 Truck Owners - We Want Your Input

P.S. I've searched my digital manual on the dash screen & cannot find anything about the "tire jack" mode, which is mentioned in a few places. The technical info on this is absent for my 2018 CTD, 2500, 4x4. I would appreciate someones definitive comments on this. Thanks.

RAM AIR SUSPENSION - 2500 Truck Owners - We Want Your Input

Thank you for the advice. I wonder why they just didn't engineer a switch function to "freeze" the darn thang in its current position!

RAM AIR SUSPENSION - 2500 Truck Owners - We Want Your Input

Purchased new 2018 2500, CTD, 4x4 on 8-18-2019. Intended for hauling 5th wheel RV @ 13K#. We don't understand "delay time" concept, or need. Review: First trip w/RV was Feb. 27th to Orlando area. 1st attempt to detach was 4 days later at our destination, 30min before sunset & a long day...

RAM AIR SUSPENSION - 2500 Truck Owners - We Want Your Input

Is this feature valid for my 2018, 2500? Sounds a bit confusing to me. "(Tire Jack Mode; Transport Mode; and Wheel Alignment Mode) are also available on the 2500 system to modify the system’s behavior and are all intended for the same functions."

    1st 500 miles towing @ 50mph max.? Really?

Our new 2018, 2500 CTD, 4x4 has 7200 miles now & 1st oil change. We're prepping for 1st trip South (1300 miles) with new truck, towing 15K Montana High Country in 2 weeks. The owners manual says to keep 1st 500 miles towing, @ no more than 50mph. That speed is almost hazardous going thru...
