    No voltage to AC compressor

I had this happen with my 2006. The TIPM will disconnect power to the A/C clutch if is senses to much current draw. As the A/C clutch wears it requires more current to engage the compressor. There are usually 2 option, replaced the compressor assembly or the the clutch only. I choose to replace...

    Lower Heater Hose Leak

I just got finished replacing these 2 hoses. Geno's garage has the hoses, and constant tension clamps. I removed the air box, oil filter and alternator to access the hoses. The hose that is near the turbocharger had worm clamps, and had worn through the hose. The whole job took about 2 1/2...

    48RE delayed 2-3 shift

Just a quick update. I pulled the transmission pan and valve body to make sure that everything was ok. I inspected the throttle valve in the valve body to make sure it was not stuck or binding, no issues noted. I replaced the governor pressure solenoid again. I reinstalled the valve body and...

    48RE delayed 2-3 shift

I pulled the Throttle valve actuator back out today to see if I installed it incorrectly but it was installed the way the manual said to. The only thing that i did notice was after in-gauging the shaft I had to turn the actuator to mount it. I also pulled both battery cables off to see if that...

    48RE delayed 2-3 shift

Morning I have a 2006, 3500 with a 48RE that I just changed the Governor pressure solenoid, governor pressure transducer, output speed sensor, and the lock-up and overdrive solenoid assembly. That sure fixed the shuttle shift problem, but now I have a delayed 2-3 shift when accelerating. It...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Installing a Enviroguard oil breather

It took about 15 mins of threading a 8 mm bolt in the freeze plug, and slowly taping it out with a long punch at the head of the bolt. The plug can be accessed from below, I had to remove 2 wire clamp to get the harness out of the way. Just take your time and I'm sure you can remove it. Not sure...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Installing a Enviroguard oil breather

I just got finished removing the radiator and cleaning the front of the engine, lots of caked on oily dirt. I have noticed that it is running a lot cooler now. The breather is holding up very nicely with not a drop of oil.

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Installing a Enviroguard oil breather

Just got finished installing. It took about 15 mins of threading a 8 mm bolt in the freeze plug, and slowly taping it out with a long punch at the head of the bolt. The rest of the job was strait forward. I drove about 300 miles after, and not a single drop of oil. My next project is to remove...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Installing a Enviroguard oil breather

I'm trying to install the cummins Enviroguard breather system and was wondering if any one has had trouble removing he dip stick plug from the block? I was under there looking at the plug, and the access is a little tight. What tools has any body used to remove the plug? I want to install this...
