Who built this truck? SRT-6 Info

My dad bought a used 2007. 5 2500 a little over a year ago. He doesn't know much about the truck's history, but it was clearly modified by SRT (SRT stands for the Street Racing Technology division that builds the Dodge Viper from what I understand). It is painted in Dodge Viper blue everywhere...

Help! Check Engine Light with codes P226B and P2262

The dealer just cleaned the turbo, but said that it will probably need to be replaced if the MIL comes on again. Apparently Dodge requires them to do a cleaning first before replacing it or they would have just gone ahead and put a new one on.

Help! Check Engine Light with codes P226B and P2262

After about 100 miles of highway driving, the MIL went off. I'm taking it to the dealer here on Friday. I do always keep the exhaust brake on and I have high idle enabled and use it to warm up and when idling for long periods.

Help! Check Engine Light with codes P226B and P2262

I'm just gonna drive it. Hopefully a long hot highway drive with the e-brake on will help break loose the soot that's no doubt on the turbo given the codes. If it stops working, it's still under warranty.

Help! Check Engine Light with codes P226B and P2262

My 09 only has 15700 miles on it and my check engine light (MIL) came on this morning. I just pulled the codes at an auto parts store and they are P226B - Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Pressure too high - mechanical; and P2262 - Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Pressure not detected -...

    Fuel Dripping Off Front Diff

I took it to the dealer today. They apologized for the other mechanic feeding me a line of bull. The tech today was on it though. Like I thought, the drain valve wasn't sealing properly. They replaced the entire fuel filter assembly because there's a newer version out. No leak now. Thanks for...

    Fuel Dripping Off Front Diff

After retightening the fuel filter purge valve and wiping down the diff pumpkin, I let the truck sit for 24 hours. No puddle on the driveway and no drop formed on the diff. I just drove it to work though and now it's dripping again. As soon as I stopped, I reached in and felt the fuel filter...

    Fuel Dripping Off Front Diff

I got up under the truck on my creeper and for the life of me, I can't figure out where the heck the fuel is coming from. The diff is soaked from top to bottom with diesel. Everything above the diff seems completely dry. The only thing I can think is that it is, in fact, coming from the fuel...

    Fuel Dripping Off Front Diff

The drain tube and the fuel filter were the first thing I checked. They're both bone dry, so I know it's not coming from there. The last time I purged the filter was about a month ago now, so I'm pretty sure it's not still residual fuel from that either.

    Fuel Dripping Off Front Diff

Based on what you guys are saying, it doesn't sound 'normal' to me. It's been in the 80s and 90s here, so certainly not anywhere close to freezing. I made sure that the service department noted their findings so if something goes wrong, I can pin it back on them. I'm going to get up under the...

    Fuel Dripping Off Front Diff

I noticed a small puddle under my '09 2500 a couple weeks ago and checked it out. I thought the front diff was leaking at first because I saw that it was wet and there was a drop formed on the bottom. I didn't have much time to check it out that day, so I just dropped it off at the dealer since...

    5.0L Cummins in a 1500

I just got a survey for an independent research company that was gathering info about putting a 5. 0L Cummins into a Dodge 1500. They were clearly trying to see how many of the 2500/3500 segment would be willing to drop to a 1500 if this engine was offered. They presented two engine options: a...

    First regen experience - strange

I just got the recall in the mail last night to reflash the ECM. I just called the dealer and I'm scheduled to take it in tomorrow. I've got just over 6000 miles on my '09 2500 and I haven't had any problems so far. I do some short drives due to necessity, but I've also made several long highway...

    Diamondback Tonneau Cover?

I think I'm definitely going to do something like that with a hinged bracket so I can choose when I want to lock it or not depending on what I'm carrying. The slide out cargo tray is also a neat idea, but I don't think I would get my money's worth out if it since you can open the diamondback...

    Diamondback Tonneau Cover?

An extra locking pin is a great idea. I have access to a machine shop and a sheet metal shop, so I might try to knock something out like that after I get my cover installed. I'd have to make it removeable though because if I've ever got something heavy loaded on top the cover, I still want to be...

    Diamondback Tonneau Cover?

Nice pic MVenditti! That looks sharp. I have an inferno red truck and the diamond plate will look really good with it I think. I've decided to go ahead and order one with the full cab guard 'headache rack' on the front instead of the shorter one you have. My only concern is limiting my...

    Diamondback Tonneau Cover?

I'm getting ready to buy a new tonneau cover for my '09 2500 short bed and I think the Diamondback HD is the one I like the best. It's kinda pricey, but it's . 100" aluminum diamond plate and you can haul 1600 pounds on the top like a flat bed and still lock other gear underneath. It also hinges...
