    Correct Weight Distribution

Today, I added more distribution force and went back to the scales. I believe that I am maxed out on adjustment now on my hitch. I did not fuel up again but I probably only used a couple gallons since last night. Also some water probably splashed out the overflow. Now I weigh 16080lbs (Front...

    Correct Weight Distribution

I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 Reg Cab DRW 4x4. I have taken it to the scales and it weighs 7280lbs ( Front Axle = 4380 / Rear Axle = 2900) right after filling up. I purchased this to tow my 35ft bumper pull travel trailer. I use a Equilizer hitch for weight distribution and sway control. I...

G56 - Hard to get into 1st and Reverse

The pedal is firm from the top to the bottom of the stroke. I notice no difference from when I first bought the truck except for it being very difficiult to get into 1st and Reverse sitting still. As soon as it goes into gear... driving is normal. No slippage or anything. prestinb

G56 - Hard to get into 1st and Reverse

I have a 2008 3500 DRW Reg Cab 4x4 with a G56. It has 30000miles and I purchased it with 24000. At that time I changed all fluids to Amsoil and it has been fine. Recently, I have noticed that it is really hard to get into 1st or Reverse while stopped. If I have my foot off the brake it seems...

Anyone using RECON LED Tail lights

I am running their smoked cab lights, side marker, 3rd brake light, and tail lights. They are all suppose to be plug and play. The tail lights and 3rd brake lights certainly are and I have not had any issue with them. On the cab and side markers, I cut all the connectors off and soldered them...

    Tire Pressure 101 for Duallies

My initial question is more about trying to understand the calculations or theory behind tire pressure. Here is the load and inflation chart that I was referencing. It is the most recent publication from Tire and Rim Association (TRA). ---------------------35psi 40psi 45psi 50psi 55psi 60psi...

    Tire Pressure 101 for Duallies

I am looking for some help concerning load and inflation charts. After studying them and figuring out how they are calculated, I am still missing a couple things that I was hoping someone could fill me in on. So here goes... Stock Tire - 235/80/17 E Rated = 3169lbs @ 80 psi Single 2892lbs...

    All Deletes...Question about Exhaust Brake

Marc, The only thing that has been consistent is that the exhaust brake only seems to activate at idle when it is cold out. Since it has been hot here in St Louis, it has not engaged at idle. I am curios to see what your troubleshooting reveals. Prestinb

    Balance Masters ---Installed---

All, I have a 2008 3500 DRW Reg Cab with a 4. 5" lift and running 285/75/17 tires on stock steel wheels with a 2" wheel adapter in the rear. I have had to take the tires back two time in the last 1000 miles back to get them rebalanced. I personally watched the tech (friend of mine) balance...

    All Deletes...Question about Exhaust Brake

Robert, I found out how to enable my exhaust brake by default by following the directions on the link below. The information was posted on another forum and I can't thank the gentlemen (txfiremedic) enough for the great how-to. I have a 2008 and this mod worked perfect. Please enjoy and let...

    All Deletes...Question about Exhaust Brake

All, I have completed my project of replacing downpipe and DPF pipe with 4" straight pipe. I removed the actuator from the EGR and disconnected the plug from the EGR cooler and throttle body butterfly valve per MADS directioins. I am also running a Smarty Jr. 21ME. I am so glad that I have...

EGR Disable / DPF Removal - Staying Intact

What temperature does it have to be in order for the EB to kick in. I have mine wired so it is on by default but it has not turned into the "Jet Sound" yet... prestinb

EGR Disable / DPF Removal - Staying Intact

Today, I finally completed my removal DPF removal / EGR disabling. First impressions are great! I replace the downpipe with a 4" downpipe w/o bungs, and then replaced the DPF with a 4" straight pipe w/o bungs. This ties into my muffler delete pipe and then out the factory tailpipe. The end...

    Bent sway bar links

My factory ones also bent after lift. There are many options available but I used the Maxx Links part # SMX-1227L which is for a 1" to 3" lift. Install was easy and straight forward. prestinb

EGR Disable / DPF Removal - Staying Intact

I have the exhaust sitting in my garage ready to go but have to wait to install. While I was at the dealer on Thursday getting my J35 recall implemented, I asked them to do a driveline and suspension inspection since I will be soon getting out of warranty. They came back and said that all my...

EGR Disable / DPF Removal - Staying Intact

Lil' Dog Sounds like that is the way to go to make sure the valve stays closed even if the motor is actuated. Thanks again... prestinb

EGR Disable / DPF Removal - Staying Intact

Thanks for the reply. I guess my question goes a little more in depth then. Does the plunger have to be removed if the EGR is disabled in the Smarty Jr. ME version? If it is not actuated... then I see no need. If it does actuated because it remains plugged in... then I see the need. prestinb
