It'll never sound like an '03 unless you change more than just the DPF but it'll get closer if you delete it! I really like the sound of my 4" TBE. Quieter than the 5. 9s but still beefy.

Perfectly normal. The transmission won't lock in 6th until the transmission temp is at or above 55 degrees. For me, this can take a couple of miles if it's real cold out.
