    Max-Brake Controller

I bought the MaxBrake controller from Dutch and Di a couple of years ago and never used it. Instead of buying a trailer, I ended up with a slide in camper so never had a use for it. I guess I should put it in the classifieds for sale. What are they worth now?

2005 Laramie Sport Dually Diesel 4X4 72,000 Miles

TRUCK SOLDI sold my camper so I'm reluctantly selling my babied truck with only 72,000 miles. Most Dodge owners agree the 5.9 is the best Cummins diesel engine offered. No DPF and it gets amazing mileage. Up to 21 mpg on the highway if you drive it right. This one has never done any work except...

    Dash Cam

Thanks for the info, that should do it at 10 amps. Now if I could find the type of connector to plug into the factory one, that would be awesome.

    Dash Cam

I'm putting in a dash camera and would like to do a neat stealth install. I was wondering if I could power it from the auto dim mirror power. Even if I had to disconnect the mirror from power it would be worth it so not to have an ugly cord running to the lighter socket. Any one tapped into...

    Torklift Stable Load Question

Good tip Jess. I also cleaned up the cut with a small file. I threw away the skinny nuts that came with them and replaced them with a stainless nut and a stainless lock nut on each stud. Don't want one bouncing down the highway like my factory one did.

    Torklift Stable Load Question

Thanks for those that clarified the "frames" were not necessary on a Dodge. I installed without removing the inner liners because my mud flaps have a lot of fasteners and it was too much work. I agree it would be easier without the fender liners. What was a huge hassle was the length of the...

    Torklift Stable Load Question

Can't find anything on their site regarding these frames and they are closed today and tomorrow so I can't call. I need to put them on today as I am travelling.

    Torklift Stable Load Question

Just opened the box and there are 4 metal frames with the stable loads. No idea where these go or what they are for. No instructions included. Anyone know?

    MBRP vs Donaldson

I replaced my system with MBRP and HATED the sound. I then found out after calling them, they have a "quiet" muffler which is not offered in their turbo back system (go figure) so I had to spend an addition $$$$ to get the quiet muffler which i installed in front of the noisy one. It's barely...

Where to buy Valvoline Premium Blue

At home in Canada, I have only found Premium Blue at the Cummins dealer. I am in Arizona and wondered if it's the same here or do some retail outlets sell it. Thanks

    Archived Electrical Issue while travelling

There were no symptoms except the gauge bottomed out. Lights did not go dim, truck ran fine, headlights/high beams, heater etc. worked fine. I did disconnect the camper and it made no difference. It's a mystery to me.

    Archived Electrical Issue while travelling

Started up this morning and all was well. Gauge read over 14 volts. Went to a shop this morning and had the alternator and batteries checked. Everything OK. I hate those mystery problems. I think it will be back to bite me later.

    Archived Electrical Issue while travelling

Thanks for the suggestion. I think I will head for a shop in the morning. Gotta get outa here and into the sunshine in Arizona.

    Archived Electrical Issue while travelling

Is that under the hood? Driver or passenger side? Thanks

    Archived Electrical Issue while travelling

We are on the road travelling and I just had the Volt meter peg left, indicating no charge. I recently added my camper to the truck for the first time and have a lot of lights on this evening. Checked to see the belt is still on the alternator and its still spinning. Any thoughts.

    PacBrake airbags…….maybe I made a mistake

Just as an update on this subject, I followed the advice given here and installed 1 1/2" square tubing, 3 inches long as JJPage suggested. Now the overloads engage earlier and support the load and reduced the side to side sway. Unloaded, there is about 1 to 1 1/2" of space before the overloads...

    New exhaust

I went with the MBRP stainless turbo back system. I Eliminated the cat and hated the sound. Maybe if you like the "look at me" sound it may be OK but for me it was way too much noise. I ended up adding another muffler (quiet tone from MBRP) at my expense. Not happy they did not offer that...

    PacBrake airbags…….maybe I made a mistake

Thanks for sharing your experience. Maybe I will keep the airbags as they are on and working. I fully agree with the exhaust brake. I have the BD brake and love it. It adds a lot of comfort when heading down those steep grades with all that weight on the truck.
