I use a long extension and a universal from underneath to break it lose and drain, then I reach in from the top to spin it the rest of the way out by hand and pull it out. I'm to lazy to remove the fender liner every time I want to change the filter out.

This is what mine looks like. EGT comes from the edge probe and drive pressure comes from a custom plug-and-play harness I designed.

My truck runs the pump as soon as you turn the key on, no need to bump the starter. It pressurizes the fuel system to the CP3 before you start cranking the engine.
