    Ah, yes, the infamous "Torque Converter Lockout" syndrome where you first think your auto trans is going south when it's actually the ground wires to the PCM that are corroded and causing stray voltages to mess with the PCM's little mind. It's very sensitive to voltage fluctuations.

    Fuel mileage

    My 99 24v is still getting 21 to 22mpg @ 70mph and before the injector pump replace I was getting 24 to 25mpg. Now I only have 97k on the truck since my round trip commute to work before I retired was 7 miles so I would think mileage would be a factor also.

    OK, now I'm confused, in my research on my 99 I learned it was the PCM that contro0lled the output and not the ECM so could somebody verify was learnt wrong, please? BTW the alt charging the passenger side is correct on the gen 2 trucks also. I'm trying to trouble shoot a voltage drain on mine...
