    High egt

A lot of miles and transmissions for sure and a little scary to hear. Here in Western Montana it's just about impossible to go anywhere without pulling a hill or pass somewhere but after seeing what you have gone through i plan on using 4th gear and keeping an eye on the boost for sure.

    High egt

Drop into 4th around 1700rpm when egt's get around 1200 degrees at about 60mph and then i can usually climb around 50 to 55 mph from there ...as i said not complaining just wondering if there's other mods i could do to maybe use the power i have without the high egt's

    Limited slip diff

Getting ready to tow south for the winter and have done some upgrades on my truck this summer but i am thinking of changing out my rear diff oil on my Dana 80 and am wondering #1 if it is a limited slip or how you go about finding out if it is and # 2 what type of additive can be used and how much.

    pulling in 5th gear

One other question i have on this subject is that when i got the Fast Coolers on the instructions it mentioned overfilling by 1 quart of fluid (which i did) and drove it for around a100mi. When i checked underneath the truck the transmission vent looked wet so i drained it back to normal level...

    pulling in 5th gear

Sounds like you have had a lot of experience with the nv4500 and I'll follow your advice. Another question i have is I've just installed a transmission cooler on the 4500 and it starts to register at 140degrees but I'm not sure what normal operating temperature's are.

    pulling in 5th gear

I have a 97 Dodge 2500 4x4 5 speed and haul a 20ft car hauler and 800 RZR on the flatbed the combined total weight is about 17k. I watch the egts pretty close because i don't want to burn down the 12v but my question is can i safely pull hills in 5th gear as long as the temps are safe or should...
