    Code 0299? Underboost....

I last had the truck in the shop in July. Not sure if they attempted any reflash then.

    Code 0299? Underboost....

Mine did this back in April. The dealer has been trying to figure it out since then, including the reflash. Still codes for under boost and now it has progressed to an EGR issue and they are back ordered. Haven't been able to tow anything over 5000# all summer. I'm so done with this piece of...

    CP4.2 Owners Club

Sweet. Maybe they can fix my other mystery issues as well. My CP4 still hasn't caused any issues.. the ECM, EGR and turbo not so much.

    Fuel Additive

I'm happy if my truck is at 50% idle hours. It's a work truck and I'm not shutting it off every time I stop to supervise something, and I'm sure not driving it without a 10 min. warmup (even plugged in) at 0F.

I think my CP4 has started to eat itself....

Is yours still running? I have a 2019 with 35K miles.. first truck I've ever owned that didn't have an issue in the first year. Your choice in diesels in 2020 is two with CP-4s and one with a brand new untested transmission.

I think my CP4 has started to eat itself....

From my experience in replacing several snowmobile fuel pumps over the years, fuel dispensers at filling stations will put particles into your fuel. We'd disassemble the fuel pumps (all plastic inside) and find metal particles jamming the pumps. Not saying that's the issue you are having, but it...

    My New 2019

Keep us posted if the Aisin reflash helps with that 2 to 3 shift. Mines getting bad and I'm wondering if I will take it in. I have had the VB6 done a while ago.

    show your ram at work

Fmax210SS. 20+5' dove tail, max ramps, super single 17.5's, 10K axles on heavy duty suspension options, electric over hydraulic discs. I didn't need the extra length in the areas I operate and loads I haul. An absolutely amazing trailer. Worth every penny of what it cost. A little snowy today...

    TIRE PRESSURE CONFUSION

I'm not going back and forth on pressures or I'd be doing it all day. I used to run 80psi all the way around, but found 70 to be sufficient.

    Greasing front wheel bearings

Great idea. I've never heard of it, but I'll be doing it at my next service.

    Load Trail Gooseneck Dump Time.

Not something I'd worry about. That's about the same ratio mine has. Living in a cold climate and being a supervisor/business owner truck causes it for me. There are many times I pull over in the winter to talk on the phone. Today, I put down almost two hours of idle time, all of which I was on...

Used truck to purchase low miles But.......

This doesn't exist and has been proven. There is no TSB replacing the CP4 with a CP3. There is a newer version of the CP4.2, but nobody has proven why it's better. FCA basically said it was changed to reduce noise (?) I wouldn't touch a 2019 with a ten foot pole with injector issues.. and I own...

    DELO 600 ADF 10W30

Cool sounding stuff. I have a new Kenworth T880 on the way that gets way more miles than my pickup and will be parked in a heated shop when not in use (unlike my pickup) so cold temperature starts will negate needing 5W-40. If this oil does what it says it'll do, it will be significant.

2021 RAM 3500 purchase on hold.

32,000 on my 2019. Lots of cold weather starts and heavy towing. No issues. I also double filter my fuel. I buy fuel in bulk. I fill my trucks from my bulk tank that has a water block filter and a 2 micron particulate filter (Cim-Tek). Sometimes it's even better than that since I fuel from my...

Ram Cummins vs. New Ford 7.3 gasser

I was basically in the same situation as you a year ago. If I was only towing 10K I would opt for the 7.3 gasser all day long and twice on Sunday. I love my Cummins when I have 20K hooked behind it. It simply tows like magic and it does everything you could possibly ask in a diesel pickup...

It's all low bidder. Ford dominates the market up here.

    harsh shifts, Aisin

It sucks, even with the update. I am getting used to it, but because I drive really big trucks a lot of these idiosyncrasies of the '19 Aisin aren't that big of a deal to me. I drive my Ram like I do my heavy trucks, ease into traffic and be patient. Not exactly what I want to do with a pickup...

VB6 Recall to reprogram engine for emissions

My truck was exactly opposite. I never once had a tank over 16.5 mpg before the update and now it's a regular occurrence to get over 18. I've now had 20mpg complete tanks on long trips (hand calc'd) and I couldn't do that before. My DEF consumption got better as well.
