I have used every type of pushpin plastic rivet known to man. I have found the "Christmas tree" style to hold the best and adapt to differing size holes.
They are not reusable but cheap. My 2cents.
Here is my 2 cents. I had the exact same problem. Installed seal after seal, and still constant leaks. Finally I found my oil level was too high.
Oil was filling the axle tubes. After lowering the level no more leaks. I have a Mag Hytec cover btw.
I believe the Mag hytec full mark on the stick...
Keeping lead acid batteries charged, whether flooded cell, or agm, is vital to their usable life.
Maintenance chargers are not necessary in most situations, but if the truck is not used often,
they can extend batt life quite a bit.
