The recall is for the grid heater relay not the grid heater. The relay is on the passenger side next to the rubber tube between the air cleaner box and the turbo.

They do but they only cover part of the radiator so the grill cover helps the engine warm up faster. Manufacturers put the shutters in to help with CAFE (Aerodynamics) not for cooling.

Never had an issue with grit/salt causing any problems on current or past diesels. Best advice I can give is learn how to install when it's warm out (not the easiest to install) so you know what to do when it's cold. It fits fine if installed correctly.

There is a tech tip out that clearly states the AB is the correct filter for 19 & newer cummins.

Which air filter do you have? 53034051AB or 68517554AA. 53034051AB is the correct one and some dealers are putting the 68517554AA in. The 68517554AA has been causing codes on some 19 and newer cummins. Jay
