    Electrical gremlin...

It's not latching. Upon further inspection, it appears that the latch got brittle and gave up after 20 years. Which now makes me question the rest of them....but that's a who lot of de-pinning and re-pinning to do to change them all.

    Electrical gremlin...

Also, this was helpful too, I just wish that I knew what all the B+ leads coming off were powering: https://hf-files-oregon.s3.amazonaws.com/hdpmaksenterprises_kb_attachments/2021/11-25/925eace4-c4a8-4618-9826-06790efca58e/5026032_TIPM_Plugs_and_Pinouts.pdf

    Electrical gremlin...

Thanks for all the help you guys! I think I've figured it out. C1 connector (the blue one) on the TIPM is a little loose and the headlight issues go away and things start working when I reseat it. I ordered a rebuilt connector from Maks and will replace it. I don't have a diagram to see if the...

    Electrical gremlin...

I guess my main question is, does the headlights, accelerator pedal sensor, and turn signals all connect to the TIPM on the same connector?

    Interior part

I bought these for my 2500 and they worked great.

    Electrical gremlin...

Hey guys, I'm hoping that you all can give me some pointers on where to start looking. I have an electrical issue that has gotten worse. The lamp out light comes on and off. The headlights come on by themselves when the truck is running. Today, I took the truck for an alignment and it was...

2004.5 2500 Cummons engine shuts off and gauges go to zero when hit a bump

I was having all sorts of weird electrical issues and it turned out to be a loose connection on the yellow wire coming out of the TIPM box. This helped me rule out the TIPM though: https://rvtransporterhelp.com/3rd-gen-dodge-pdm-and-fcm-interesting-finds-2003-2-t700.html

    Steering rack bolts

For anyone who comes upon this thread in the future looking for the solution, part #6506555AA is not it either, that is also an M14. McMaster-Carr is the answer. You will have to mix and match colors, but it is possible to get it done with the parts that they offer. Thank you guys for all of...

    Steering rack bolts

I'm still waiting on part #6506555AA to come in, i'll post it here if it ends up being the same that way someone else in the same predicament can hopefully find this thread. You guys are great!

    Steering rack bolts

Thanks! This truck has been rock solid for the 20 years that I have owned it, but it is fighting me every step of the way on this job!!!

    Steering rack bolts

I think this is the ticket! McMaster Carr. If the ones I ordered for the 1500 don't work out then i'll buy from them. Strange that I looked at them before and could not find one long enough on their site. Either way, thanks for all the help y'all.

    Steering rack bolts

Finally got another caliper and measured it. It is 16mm OD on the shank and 9.5 inches long from the flat surface of the flange head.

    Steering rack bolts

I agree, not the best solution, but I was able to source grade 8 allthread. Tig welding a flange nut on the end wouldn't be the end of the world because it would be there just to hold the nut from turning so that I can tighten it on the other side.

    Steering rack bolts

It measures 5/8 as well. I thought that these trucks were all metric though? As for the calipers, I have to go grab another one since my calipers were given away with my reloading equipment. I think that I may have found one in mopar part #6506555AA. It's for a 1500 but it measures 9.5 inches...

    Steering rack bolts

Well guys, the GM part number came in and it's a little short and a little thin. It was so close! I think i'm just going to go with all-thread and weld some flange bolts on the end. Not really ideal for a steering component. Thanks for the effort though, it was worth the try. 20250305_094537...
