2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission My back seat won’t fold up

Check to see if your rear window pass through window may be leaking if you have one.

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission My back seat won’t fold up

Are you actuating the lever on the bottom of the rear bench seat to release the seat latch so it can fold up?

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Bucking at 50 MPH PCU Code P1693

It was for the OP. Sorry about that! I hate posting from my phone. I try to do as much of the work on my truck as I can but I find that as I get older, some things I let a local guy I trust work on my truck. Once I get my shop and home built on the other farm, I will have a much better place...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Bucking at 50 MPH PCU Code P1693

Just my humble 2 cents worth. If you have not paid the shop back , I think it only reasonable and common sense to take your receipts and evidence of what you did to repair the issues that the shop SHOULD have found & completed and talk to the owner or supervisor to see if you can negotiate...

Sorry to read about this s!@t show you and Misses had to go through. This is just another example of the culture and nation we live in where there are NO consequences for just about anything. It's getting worse by the day.

    Injection pump timing

Just for my proper understanding, isn't VP44 pump timing affected by tuners such as the Edge EZ. I was under the perception that the EZ was a timing only box? Or am I not correctly understanding how it works?

    Injection pump timing

I am probably batting way out my league here but are you talking about a 12 or 24 valve.

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Front brakes

To Topzide's point, I went the Rock Auto route replacing brake lines, rotors, calipers, etc., everything except the ABS module and master cylinder. I try whenever possible to stick with Centric Brake parts. The parts I received were very good quality and are working well. Not saying eBay is a...

More questions than answers part 1 million

You probably already have but you checked the injector lines for any blockages?

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Need a refresh

If memory serves me (and it rarely does) I believe: ETH = The order code for High Output (HO) diesel. DEE = The order code for 6 speed manual transmission. ETC = The order code for Standard Output diesel.

NAILED IT! 2025 RAM/CUMMINS REVEALED (Sifting Through - Part IV)

An Eaton Fuller 8LL ten speed manual or a slimmed down version would be nice, although I suspect a very poor seller due to the ignorance & inability of most drivers to operate and drive a manual transmission. It would probably be considered to big & beefy overkill by the engineers for this...

NAILED IT! 2025 RAM/CUMMINS REVEALED (Sifting Through - Part IV)

Glow plugs are a HUGE step BACKWARDS in my opinion. Everyone else has a 10 speed automatic transmission.........why come out with and already obsolete 8 speed automatic??? Has the camshaft and lifter problem been properly addressed and fixed??? I believe Cummins is STILL using flat tappet...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Establishing a list of pro's & con's for front hubs. Stock, Spynteck, Yukon, or other?

Very good point. I have some doubts based mostly upon age. My truck gets well maintained. It just that I have my concerns about 22 year old original factory components still on the truck. I live in a very rural area and am frequently off road in very remote areas and make an occasional sugar...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Establishing a list of pro's & con's for front hubs. Stock, Spynteck, Yukon, or other?

The ole girl has a little over 96,000 miles miles on her. Sooner or later I will need to inspect/replace a few things. On the top of that list is front end (still has the original hubs that came on a 2002 2500 4x4), universal joints (ALL currently orignal OEM since new), clutch, and many other...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Heater grid -which battery?

If you plug in the block heater a few hours before starting the engine, the grid heaters don't put near the load on the batteries and charging system. Just have to plan ahead to plug in the truck before use as much as you can. It not difficult.

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Need help with tailgate decal location

Just got done measuring mine. I measured 12.5 inches from the bottom of the tailgate to the bottom of the decal, 2 5/16 inches from the side of the tailgate to the side of the decal where the line crossing the stem of the 4 stops. It was 2 9/16 from the side of the tailgate to the stem the of...
