    Thanks for all the helpful suggestions. I replaced the MAP sensor today and Voila! it was cured! I did learn a valuable lesson from this. Dont buy parts at the Dodge dealer as they charge extremely high prices for them. $164 at the dealer versus $69 at the Cummins shop. :--) Thanks again

    Thanks for all the replies. I took the truck to competent diesel mechanic (i. e. -not Dodge dealer) and they found they problem to be a defective MAP sensor. The problem is not fixed however until the sensor comes in at the dealer. This leads me to two questions, Is the sensor covered under...
