    Ya, I found that out now. I checked another 96 and a 97 both use cables. I did find a 01 that uses the motor so I don't know if all 96s and 97s have cables or what. Any way I had ordered two and they said I could send them back so all is good in that department but my heater still doesn't put...

    Just got a heatertreater fix for my 96 and now can't find an actuator motor on my heater. I have a cable from the temp control that rotates a shaft that is protruding from the bottom of the heater just to the right of the transmission tunnel. Would this cable be there instead of an actuator...

    Never been a fan of those straps either. I built a off road buggy out of a 1st gen truck and he is having a lot of problems wit the straps loosening on it. Put new straps in but the yoke is probably worn out now. I think I will try to modify the yoke for u bolts.
