    The lack of low end torque in the Dmax explains why when pulling a load the allison won't stay in overdrive when it tries to accelerate, at highway cruising speeds it is out of the torque band. Ken

    That's very interesting how a torque curve from an unbiased source paints an entirely different and not pretty picture of the Dmax. Real torque starts about 800 RPM later than GM would lead you to believe. GM mislead potential customers?? NEVER :rolleyes: Ken

    My truck is like a politician

    It has a hydraulic brake booster. My first thought was some sort of vacuum problem with the vent controls, but digging in the service manual found that the door that controls the mixture of heated and outside air is controlled by an electric motor. Ken

    It blows warm air out the vents when I get on the brakes moderately hard. It happens whether the AC is on or not. Very annoying in the summer as I live in the desert. Anybody else have this problem? Thanks, Ken
