MOPAR-Muscle, i just installed a barry grant 220HR pump on my 98 24v, it's loud as hell! Is the Carter quiet? like a stock pump or can you hear it while the truck is running?

as for the wiring,i cut the connecter off of the old pump and pluged it back in, then i ran 14 guage wire back to the pump, which i mounted on the inside of the frame rail right in front of the fuel tank. well i guess i found atleast part of the problem yesterday when i was fixing what i thought...

OK, i replaced the lift pump with the BG220. I don't have a regulator on it yet so it's putting out 20+psi tested at the filter. The truck fires up fine but after idling for a minute or 2 it starts to miss and run crappy. The strange thing is while it's idling it makes these weird "pop" sounds...

My 98. 5 dually is sick. I've read some posts about guys having pump failures. My symptoms are similar, loss of power, bucking, and idling like it's running on 5 cylinders. Is there a procedure I could do to find the root of the problem?
