Only if you run the engine at it's HP peak which I'm sure is not 1800 RPM. I would figure the engine good for 1/2 it's max rating. I have a 30 KW gen set that is powered by a 2-71 detroit. I believe the rating is about 75 HP and it runs at 1800 RPM.

No with the 275's the truck was smooth as silk. The addition of the EZ made the engine sound "coarse" or harsh although the power seems good, made a noticeable difference in towing power.
