    2004Cummins sounds like 2nd generation motor??

    My 2004 3500 has 6500 miles and at about 4500 it started sounding like the second generation motors with a very distinctive diesel knock or rod knock type sound. My other two buddys have a 2005 and 2003 and they dont sound like this. Any experience with this please help! Thanks
