    I hope your situation is different, but I got that exact code intermitently before major problems (2 valves, injection pump twice, and 3 injectors). All started about 4000 miles. Its currently in the lemon law process. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING.

    hopefully this can save some others alot of anguish... I picked up my 05 in March. My brother-in-law(a tractor-trailer driver) was telling me that it is a good idea to run additives with your fuel, so I started running stanadyne in April. In May I started getting a CEL w/P0251. Each time...

    deja vouz? sounds familiar! I just got my truck back from the dealer after going through the same exact symptoms (P0251, oil/diesel all over the undercarriage and tailgate, and running rough). Mine was covered by wty... repaced a bad injection pump and found #4 cylinder valves not opening...
