    Fan Shroud attacks radiator

The same thing happened to my 03. Since the radiator is aluminum,it can't be solder so the radiator shop use an epoxy to repair the pin hole. I had them pressurized the radiator to 20 psi for an hour. So far, it has'nt leak for 2 years and more than 45,000 miles. Radiator is more than $500 from...

03 Cummins 6 speed very hard start

Do an injector fuel return flow. Internal leak from either the high pressure connector or injector will result in increased fuel return flow from the cylinder head. Single cylinder cut out test will not be able to isolate this leak because it occurs before it reaches the control needle inside...

03 Cummins 6 speed very hard start

It's sounds like a symptom of a worn out injectors. Ball seat inside injector gets worn out allowing excessive fuel return and not able to build up enough pressure at cranking speed (150 RPM). Once you get it started and running, CP3 is able to build up and maintain enough pressure to fire the...

GDP walbro & 2 mic install

Are those filters installed in the suction side of the walbro pump?In my opinion, the walbro pump will have a longer and happier life if those resrictions (Fuel filters) are installled in the pressure side of the pump. These pumps are better in pushing fuel rather than sucking.

    p0483 cooling fan speed

Is your check engine light on? I have this code for 8 months now without triggering the the CEL. I did the A/C test and the cooling fan engage as it should but I don't know if turning at the right RPM as the ECM is commanding. I never have any overheating issue even driving in heavy traffic with...

    rear spindle nut??????

Just did mine a month ago. They come off just like the front do, but mine was all rusted at the hub bore. I could'nt get them separated so I ended up pulling the the hub and rotor assembly out. I use a press to get them separated. Here is where you can buy the wheel bearing nut socket...

    03 runs without lift pump

[QUOTE= Long story short, I got the rig towed home and installed the bracketry and banjo bolt to bypass the lift pump at the filter. Just curious how you were able to bypass the dead lift pump? Did you have to fabricate or buy the adapter fitting in place of the dead lift pump?

This last fan clutch made it for 35,000 miles but is now caput! This makes #10

GShail,You might want to read DC Customer Satisfaction Notice #B28(03 tighten diesel engine cooling fan). Installed a Walbro lift pump

Cat 2 micron fuel filter P/N 1R-0750 will fit perfectly to a Permacool filter head. You can get one from local Cat distributor for around $12. 00. I have mine installed between the OEM filter canister and CP3.

    Installed a Walbro lift pump

[QUOTE As a result, the sequence of fuel flow is…. . tank, Fram inline filter, Walbro pump, Permacool spin-on filter/separator, OEM filter canister, injection pump, 1/4" bypass hose, and then either the OEM return line or the secondary 3/16" return line. very nice set up. I see that...

    Stock Lift Pump Longevity?

Ryan,Thanks for the info. No wonder I could'nt get my FP gauge to read that high. Mine only reads 7-8 psi on stock LP. I've read thru a lot of threads talked about how critical FP is to the proper operation of the CP3. If the CP3 only requires a flow rate spec, and no minimum required...
