My truck is a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 with the 24v Cummins. Last summer I began to experience intermittent problems with my cruise control. This truck is very clean, never been driven up north in the salt. Everything but the cruise control works flawlessly.
When the problem began, it was...

I am currently trying to track down a very intermittent cruise control problem.
The cruise control will work anywhere from 5 to 60 minutes.
I recently wen through all the engine and body grounds and made sure they were all good.

Can someone tell me if this is the stock Cruise Control Servo, or something my dad adapted. I see that there is a Cruise Control Servo that mounts to the inner fender well, not sure if that is a 1.5 Gen item. Thank you in advanced.
I have a 2004.5 ram 48RE cummins. I bought it with 140k. I got the cruise control to work ONE time. Since then I replaced the vac pump and the vac lines to the servo. The pump pulls vac and shuts off as it should, tho original pump would run continuously so I replaced all the lines and pump...
I have a 2001 Ram3500 24valve 5.9 Cummins with a cruise control issue. This is a 5spd Manual 4X4. After connecting a used SmartyJr that had programming issues i ended up with a truck that would not run. Smarty was very helpful with getting the right Stock program for my truck and helping me get...

Cruise control now works!
1/8" inner diameter fuel line that came from a small engine repair kit for a weed eater. Heat shrink has the adhesive lining on the inside. I absolutely needed to heat up the fuel line, and I applied a bit of silicone to the vacuum line due to the tight fit.
Hey guys,
Another issue with the truck is the cruise control. Ive tested all the wiring according to thr wiring manual and brake switch however the wiring from the output speed sensor is not correct according to the wiring manual.
The 2 wires from the output speed sensor on the rear diff are...
Is there a Turbo Diesel Mechanic in my area? My 2001 Ram has a Edge Juice with Attitude on it and my Dodge Dealer seems reluctant to work on my truck because of it. My truck was featured in the TDR Register almost 3 years ago because, unfortunately, it went into the water at a boat ramp. All...
Like many of us I had some serious problems with my cruise control, bucking downhill, erratic Railpressure, Throttle Pedal was going 1" up and down every second. Because of this I never used it for a longer period. I was close to buy an aftermarket Cruise to solve this, but I gave it a last try...
This is on a 2000 3500 5-speed, all stock.
For over a year now it won't start. Can only hear the starter click. After being pull started when trying to use the cruise control it surges up and down about 10 mph either way from original set speed. But when it starts on it's own the cruise...
