2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 98.5 2500 no 12v power
I replaced the instrument cluster with another used one, everything worked except the tach. I removed the cluster and cleaned electrical contacts on the back and also the bus connector near the brake pedal. Both batteries were disconnected while doing this. Headlights on while starting!
Is there anyway to shut headlights off while starting? I was at "no crank" (low voltage, 11 volts) because of being in storage. If the headlights & all the other lights would not come on along with the grid heaters, I believe it would have cranked over.- Stab
