My '95 2500 w/ 5 speed manual transmission, geared lower than snake **** with 4.10s and I'm thinking of going 3.73s just to make the daily driver aspect a little better. Before I go off and spend the money to re-grear I want to make sure I identified it right.
Im on the familiar side of the full floating 14 bolt diff's but have no idea what Im actually looking at on my 07' 2500. it appears to be a Trac Rite carrier. can someone confirm this by the pictures ive attached.
Has anyone seen damage like this.
Not sure if this discoloration is normal between the teeth on pinion gear? Truck didn't seem to be shifting properly pulling 28ft toy hauler on big hills. Trans temp always seemed normal. Just changed the rear differential oil at 17000 miles with AMS Severe Gear 75-90 and seems to be shifting...
