I made a few 0-60 runs last night for the first time with the EZ. I had some minor problems with traffic and I felt a bit rushed, so I will try again to verify the times, but I knocked out a 10. 54, 10. 74 and 10. 79 I don't know what the norms are but I was in the 12's without the box. I will test again whenever I can get my rear-end to quit dripping #ad
differential that is. See my other post on that ongoing saga.

John, that's pretty good rowing. My stock numbers were 0-60 mph 13. 5 seconds. Haven't yet checked it post-BOMBing. What setting are you using on the EZ?

John's post got me wondering what my numbers were now, so did a few runs with the G-Tech:

BOMB's as listed above, with fueling box off:
0-60 7. 7 seconds average

With fueling box on max (no power braking):
0-60 6. 9 seconds
1/4 mile 15. 8 seconds at 87 mph

With fueling box on max (power braking to build booost):
0-60 6. 4 seconds average #ad

Will have to get this thing on a dyno some day soon!

I got the EZ on setting 3. Tonight I did a couple of more. I got a 10. 77 and an 11. 30. But I think I screwed both of them up. I'm using a reliable stopwatch, but holding the clutch and launching in second plus hitting the watch I think I'm off. The reality is probably somewhere in between. Before the box I was in the mid to high 12's if I remember correctly. I'm going to try to get some more times, but even if the 11. 30 is closer to reality, I'm very pleased with that with just an EZ box. I think I'm cracking 11 though. #ad

The G-Tech is a great little device. If you know someone with one, try it out. They are also not terribly expensive, about $140. Makes this kind of performance measurement way easy, and they correlate pretty well with the drag strip timers and dynos. Check it out http://www.gtechpro.com/prod.html

11. 8 Sec. (stock)
10. 5 Sec. (EZ)
9. 5 Sec. (EZ,DD1,DTT TC & VB)

per hand held stop watch. spent all that money putting this stuff in and and saved myself 2. 3 seconds #ad
yeha I know If I empty the bank I can scweeze another second out of it... . BUT is sure pulls a trailer nice #ad

Tom, just used the G-Tech. The clock starts the instant movement is detected by the accelerometer, and the clock stops as soon as you cross 60mph or the quarter mile. I'd say it's likely more reproducible than a stopwatch. It does take some time and care to get it mounted correctly. If anyone is interested, I have the user's manual in a pdf document that I can send you, just email me.

Kurt, How does the device know when you hit 60MPH?

Tom, I've emailed you the manual. Check out page 6 for a pretty good operational theory discussion. Try a search on this site as well. I bought one initially because others had found close corellation between G-Tech results and dyno/dragstrip results. So far, I've really enjoyed it.

I took my truck to the track last weekend and ran 15:53 @ 88. 97mph. Running Super Mental Injectors and a TTPM. I didn't you the Edge Hot box, but I will next time #ad

My truck weighs 6800lbs and it's a 4x4. You should have seen the look on people faces to hear this is a regular thing in the states. #ad

Bomb on guys. #ad

Stefan, that's pretty impressive, what other BOMBs have you done, and what year/drivetrain is your truck?

My stock 0-60mph went from 16 seconds to
8. 30seconds with the addition of my signature:

Fact:The First Fords' had 'DODGE' Engines! The new PSD's need them!

Work2muchpay2little:

I have a factory exhaust that has no resonator, and now has a performance muffler. The truck has 3:54 gears. Drilled out the banjo bolts, and relocated the factory fuel pump to beside the tank.

Hopefully it will run 13's with the Edge on.

The fastest that I have run was 14:87 @ 90. 87 MPH. The truck then had 275 injectors, EZ, EDGE. Fuel pump was in the factory location.

Tom C,

The G-Tech determines speed based on acceleration and duration. It also takes into account either no accleration or deceleration during gear shifts. With the same information it calculates the distance traveled.

Not a precise answer but one that may give you an idea of how it 'knows' these things.

Update with EZ and 275's

40-60 times

1st run - 4. 86

2nd run - 4. 54

3rd run - 4. 81

0-60 times

1st run - 11. 38 (Operator error!) Loose nut on the gas pedal

2nd run - 10. 56

Not really sure what happened on that first run. Maybe my muffler bearings or piston covers were out of spec;)
