'00 Honda Accord no start

Wife and I are trying to get rid of this car. Engine will crank over till the battery dies. Cap, rotor, plugs, wires are are less than 10k old.

Looking at the engine there is a fuel line that looks like it comes up the firewall and goes into the fuel rail. I took off that bolt and I do not have fuel coming out.

I do not have a book to look at, a jack or jackstands. I am thinking fuel pump or fuel filter. I can not hear the pump from outside the car but I don't know if it is audable.

Am I on the right track and does any one have another idea?

yes I do, fiance needed a car after her bankruptcy and her dad had the honda sitting around. We assumed payments and we got the car.

I won't have one for long if I can get it running and sell the POS off

While cranking it, slap the bottom of the gas tank with a short 2 x 4, if it starts or you hear the pump, fuel pump bad.

There will be two fuel lines going to the rail I believe, one will be a return after a regulator. However since you opened the rail and the line, fuel should be coming from one or the other. I would try to get access to the throttle body and if the entrance is vertical I would pour about two tablespoons of gasoline into it and see if it cranks? If it is horozontal you will be limited to either starting fluid or propane. If you try the starting fluid, have some one turn the starter while you spray a small amount into the intake. If engine tries to start under these tests then it is most likely the fuel pump. Be careful, I wouldn't try the starting fluid in the garage or any closed space. bg

I'm not too familiar with late Hondas, but I would look for blown fuses or maybe a bad relay in the pump system first. If there is a relay in the panel maybe you can find another the same and switch them to see if it is bad. Also check wires at pump connection to see if 12V is present.
