'00 upgrades

Guys,



I recently posted that I had bought an '00 shortbed quadcab 4x4, 6 speed (non HO) with 3. 54 gears.



I already have an EDGE EZ and K&N on it.



If you look at my sig, you can see mods to my other trucks. They both are very stout trucks. What should I do to the '00???



The 99 has the Banks stage III and a set of 275 injectors. It is a great runnin' truck (makes 43psi boost).



I am thinkin' of an EDGE EZ, injectors, 14cm housing and..... I'd like for it to be near the 400 hp range, can you make some suggestions, kinda new to the computer trucks. I tried a VA box on the 99 with a boost fooler and 275's but that setup just didn't cut it. Also how much will the clutch take????

Don, go for the DD3's on the '00 and your EZ, that will get you past 350HP anyway. You will have to shift as soon as the pedal gets close to the floor at that power level!! The clutch surface area and friction material is the same as the 5 speed clutches on the 99 and 00 6 speeds if I remember correctly, so it will hold a little more than the ETH guys, but you are going to replace it if you go past DD1's. Send the EZ back and get a Comp or buy another major box like a Power Edge, Powermax or FMS if you feel the need to get over 400HP without a lot of effort. The DD3's and a box that taps the pump wire will easily make 400+, but EGT will be up there so the 14 housing you mention will be a good idea. You have a ton of options, good luck.
