I have 107,000 miles on my truck and I'm wondering how many miles on average the factory sealed hub units last? I don't haul a lot of weight. I know that's a loaded question, but don't want any troubles out on any long road trips. By now I would have normally cleaned & repacked the wheel bearings & serviced the manual hubs like in my older 4 wheel drive.

One of mine got very noisy about 112,000 and I changed them both.

It was a real PITA because they were fitter so tight.

I had to cut the ball joints off and have them pressed out.

New ones went it fitted and anti-seazed.

I replaced both on my 97 around a 190K with Napa parts. No problems with them at 209K, as of yet. I did the first one in Forsythe, MT in a snow bank, the other in a warm garage at home.

DO a hub conversion, before a Hub fails on the road...
cost effective. .

90 per cent of my driving is on trips. Don't need the headache
of a breakdown. . Did the EMS conversion. ( greaseable bearings)

I have 102k on mine, and the truck has had a snowplow on it since it was new. It still has the original bearings, and they're doing fine.
