The compressor in my '01 doesn't run very long with each cycle, and of course there is little or no cooling effect at all. I think refrigerant has escaped from one of the couplings on the condenser - I say this because there's dirt sticking to the tube where it goes into the coupling, everything else is clean. So the question is, would it be an easy job to change whatever seal is in that coupling? Or should I take it somewhere?

The seal is just a couple of rubber o-rings if I remeber correctly. It's an easy fix but you'll want to replace the dryer and vacume out the system properly before refilling.

FWIW,

Mark
