Hey guys, I put a set of alloy 01 wheels on my truck today without much headache. :D The only modifications I made were shaving 1/8 in off the outer brake drum with a brake lathe and moving the left front brake hose so it didn't make contact with the tire when turned fully left. The truck looks alot better I think. :) The wheels fit fine now with no interferance problems. I am also using the factory long wearing 265 Michelins also.

Some guys have reported having to trim the front suspension parts a bit. I think it was the tie rod ends. Just be careful you are all set up front.

Congrats on the BOMB. I was thinking of trying it myself, but I think a set of Alcoas are in store for me.

looks goood up front

I was aware that other people commented about having interferance problems with some suspension & steering components. I had my dad turn the wheel from lock to lock while the vehicle was on the ground and on the jack and the only problem I seen was the left brake hose rubbing the tire when turned fully left. I think there was a TSB on this anyway even with the 6. 5 rims.

Your success with not needing to modify the front end, has given me some hope of adding 01 alloys again. I just need to find some reasonably priced. $400 for a set is way too much IMO, especially when you can get a set of Alcoas for $460 (Thanks to Joe D. for the link).
