I have an 01 dodge 6spd manual, has 110000 miles on the meter. We had some cold weather here and one day I went and started it with no issues, let it run for 20 minutes, then shut it off. Went out a few days later to start it after a lot of cranking, finally it starts but runs like it's hitting on 1 or 2 cylinders. So I put a scanner on it and get these codes P0230 P0251,P0252,P0253,PO380,PO382,and P1688. Now, I have since replaced and relocated the lift pump and added a pre pump filter to the frame rail.New ddrp fass lift pump and isspro electronic fuel pressure gauge which tells me I an getting 17lbs at the bottom of the factory fuel filter which feeds the IP. I have done the Blue Chip tests on the IP connector and jumped the 6 and 7 pin as they recommend and it starts but still runs the same as I stated before. So with that being said, what should I try next before I buy a new IP? Just want to be sure I hav'nt missed something in my diagnosis. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. It sounds like it could be the IP but before I pull the trigger on the IP I would like to exhaust all the options. Also bled the injectors that I could get to easily. Also have dead peddle issue.

P0230 Lift pump circuit out of range

P0251 Fuel injection pump fuel valve feedback circuit

P0252 Fuel injection pump fuel valve stuck

P0253 Fuel injection pump fuel valve open circuit

P0380 Intake air heater relay No.1 control circuit

P0382 Intake air heater relay No.2 control circuit

P1688 Internal fuel injection pump controller failure

I would say most of these are from excessive cranking. I would clear the codes and see what comes back and what doesnt. What's the voltage on your batteries right now as they sit? Might want to throw a charger on them for a while to make sure they are topped off.
How cold of temps are you seeing? What is the average temps for your area this time of year? When was the last time you put fuel in your truck?

Charged batteries when I put the fass lift pump on and had batteries disconnected most of the day while i did the fass and filter. Temps on the days mentioned were in the teens. Yesterday in the 60s cranked over still ran rough. My old stock lift pump died prior to the the fass install so I don't know what damage was done to the IP. Not sure what to do at this point. Will get back to it when I get the scanner to see what codes I get. How do you clear codes? Fueled up a week before this happened, I know it has fuel.

I'm not sure there is a way to clear trouble codes without a scanner. I've always had a Smarty so that's how I check and clear them on mine. Even if you know somebody with a Smarty you can use it to clear them.

The reason I was asking about the fuel was because you mentioned it got cold, but at those temps you should have no problems with gelled fuel.

How long did you run the truck after the lift pump died? You didn't have a fuel pressure gauge at that time? Cardinal sin my friend

I personally wouldn't be too concerned with any of the codes you listed other than the 1688. Once you get them cleared I would be surprised if any of them came back (except the 1688) Unfortunately that could be the deal breaker right there.

Yes I had the gauge installed but I thought it was not functioning and never did the mechanical gauge check at the ports on the IP or fuel filter, thought it was a bad ground or whatever. Well come to find out the gauge was fine after I installed the new lift pump. And it was showing little or no pressure prior to that with the Carter lift pump. So I probably fried the IP just not sure if buying a new IP will fix the problem or not. Would like to make certain that it is the IP before I spend the money. Will try to clear the codes with the scanner first and go from there. Any other help would be appreciated
