01 Factory Service Manual on CD?

I saw this on Ebay. Anyone have any experience with a service manual on CD. Might be nice for on the road manuals with a laptop.

I've played around with one, basically the same as the paper manual.

Judging by the amount of oily finger prints on my paper manual I don't think I'd want to subject my laptop to the same abuse.

I went for the CD version. I print out the pages that I'll need to do a specific job. This way when they get all greasy and dirty I can just toss them out and my "manual" stays clean.

Well......

I bought the CD manual. It is a copy of the factory service manual. It is searchable. The CD is a copy of a CD in Acrobat Reader. It is almost 78. 5 Megs. It contains 2889 pages which is close to the size of the factory service manual for 2001. May be it was scanned from the factory service manual. I am sure there are copyright issues. It is going to be nice to have on the road with a laptop. If there were not the copyright issues, it would be nice to have it on line here on the TDR site for each year. Would make nice a reference center.
