Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 01 to 99, Edge Question

My buddy has an 01, HO I wan't to borrow his Drag Comp to dyno with and let him use my Comp to tow. Is there any difference between the Comps (other than the obvious fueling @ 5/5 with the drag) in as far as compatability. Don't want to hurt his or mine. Are they programmed based on the truck or are they good for 98. 5 - 02?

the map voltage is different. The 01 box wont work on a 99
