2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 02 cats?

In the recent TDR they were talking about the 03's and mentioned that the Kalifornia trucks will have a catalytic converter just like the 02's. We bought ours in Texas and it only had the resonator. I was just curious for the 02 people in Ca. although there is no smog checks for diesels yet.

The year reference only applies to CA trucks. The remainder of the 02's had resonators.
