Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 02 front axle siezed

I am wondering if anyone has did a full rebuild on a 02 4x4 all the internals in the Diff ? Is it a american gear or something like that ? If so were do you get the parts ? Are they dealer only ?

It's a Dana 60 on the front end - may be with or without a CAD depending on the build date. Look for a bubble on the pass side axle tube - that's the CAD. If it is smooth then no CAD.



You should be able to find parts most anywhere - it's pretty common and used on Fords and Jeeps among other vehicles.

Thanks nps the truck belongs to a friend of mine and he is always tearing up stuff it is very entertaining . I dont know why i thought dodge changed to american axle or gear before 03 !!!!
