2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 02 front styling

Looking to purchase an 02. Want extended cab not a quad. Did the front end grille/bumper style change during the 02 model year? Some pictures show the new 03/04 grille and some the 99/01.

don't think you can get an "extended cab" truck in an 02, i think the longer cab option is only the quad cab. the 02 truck has the same front end as the 99, 00, and 01 that you mention. the only difference is if you get the sport package or not which gives you a painted bumper and grill with different fog light placement.

The 2002 2500's and 3500's had the same front as the other 2nd generation trucks since 1994. It was the last year of the "old" body style; that's why I bought mine at the last minute before the 2003 model year trucks came out. 2002 was the first year of the new body style for the 1500 series truck. The extended cab wasn't available in 2002; only the quad cab.

It is the 1500 series that I see with the 03 grille. I wanted the larger cab without the door handles and door arrangement of the newer "Quad". It may be my perception but the 03/04 Quad cabs seem to look bigger from the outside than the "older" style.
