Just curious, what's an '02 HO 24V with a 6 speed put out for HP with a Drag Comp installed and a possibly slipping clutch? Trying to do a little friendly comparison with a local Cummins owner and that is what he has. He says 425, i'm thinking not. :-laf Supposedly puts out more smoke than my 12V, and can beat it in a race. We'll see!! :D

Thanks

I had a 02 HO 5speed with DD'2 injectors and a DRAG comp i layed down a 389 to the ground with a Piers 35/12 turbo. I have heard of people doing 400 with the same combo.

But 425 with just a box seems a little far fetched to me. And a stock clutch will go up in smoke around 350hp. If your 97 is stock I think he will beat ya...

But only a heads up will tell.

Ron R.

Thanks Ron!

I was thinking maybe 325 out of that truck. How does that sound for a guess? His clutch has had a lot of abuse on it, even before the Comp was put on. I don't think he has a chance at me, just my opinion, as unfortunately my truck isn't stock anymore. :) Stock compressor side of the turbo, and stock engine, also unfortunately. :)

I also asked because i'm contemplating on getting a '01-02 24V or a '03-04 24V in the future, besides my 12V. Still debating on which one. I've given up on the idea of a 12V pulling truck, as I just can't justify that any time soon. Also debating on auto vs. manual for both of those. I've got time to study up though, so that's good.

Well if that all he has you got him. Mine is only 485 to the rear. Just a drag comp won't get ya there, I remember as soon as I put on the Comp on I could not even get into the go pedal since the clutch would not hold. So more money was needed... ... ... ..... lol. Have fun... ... ... ... ... ... ...

LOL -- Thanks Spicy! I should be able to hold him then. Any guess on what HP he is putting to the rear wheels?

BTW, how's Tim's new shop going?

Well if I had to guess, his hp numbers would be low 300's.

As far as the shop, well things are going good for us. We just built a set of twins for ChillyDogs truck, and so far so good. The shop is still a little unorganized but we have it workable. There is just too much space... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... lol. 36000 sq feet, and I have been looking for a golfcart to move parts around... ... ... ... ... ..... :D

LOL :)

That's  for ChillyDog! What's his setup? He seems to be the leader in Dodge Cummins modding for MNTDR. What's he think of his new pump? :D

I was hoping to find future employment up there so I could be closer to the shop, get a few things done to my truck and maybe get to know you guys in the Cities better, but I found a job down south 100 or so miles. We'll see what I think of the place. Good place to at least start it looks like. I've got a buddy from last summer that now works at the injection shop in Burnsville. We'll see what happens!!

I'm hoping i'm at least at 350 for HP now. When I get a little more time, more money, and more resources, I plan on doing a little bit more work on the pump. Who knows what else, hopefully not a lot. I'd like to mod until I can beat a SRT-10 Ram, then it's a break until it's time to go on to the next truck (thinking 555 HPCR).

Chilly seems to love his new pump, as for the twins we did a 40, 3B set up. Plus we fire ringed the head, since he blew the gasket in a about 10 places. As for the shop, do you know where the new is? If not it is in St Croix Falls, WI. Very big place and at least we have A/C to keep us cool during the hot muggy days.

I think J/P is trying to get a date set up for a meet sometime soon. you going to try to make it up?

Later Jim.

Ok, wasn't sure about where the new shop is. Not sure that I know where St Croix Falls is. Hopefully I can make it up some time..... you know how that goes though. Keep in touch!

Just raced him last night. Of course got the holeshot, held him all the way through the quarter. I was off and on the throttle trying to keep my EGT's under pegged as much as I could. Managed to still hold him off though. He doesn't have any gauges, and said that he held it down all the way. I read his box last night and it said ECD2000 A/B Ver 8. 0. Anyone know what model this is, to confirm it? He paid $742. 50 for it, supposedly after a 10% discount, from Utah Diesel Center.
