I am new to the forum but have been a TDR member for years. I have a 2011 Ram 2500 with only 32,000 miles on it. My check engine light is on and my code reader says it is an 02 sensor stuck rich bank 1, sensor 2. My questions are; How many 02 sensors are there? How do I know which one needs replaced? Are they all the same? Do I need to replace them in pairs? Could they be under warranty, since it has less than 100,000 miles? I ask most of these because the more I read on the internet, the more confused I am. I know this group can give me the scoop. Thanks Ray

There is an updated harness overlay for the 02 sensors and modules. It has gold plated terminals to reduce the risk of voltage drops, the system runs off millivolts and is very sensible. There are 2 sensors,if you are using the truck as a grocery getter the sensors are prone to sooting up and to quit working.

I also have a 2011 2500. P2196 popped up about a month ago. Haven't noticed any change in mileage or engine performance. Getting tired of my check engine light coming on with 30 minutes of driving after clearing the code, so ordered a Denso 2345090 (supposedly OEM with Mopar part #68067170AA) sensor from Amazon today. $41.69 with free shipping and no sales tax. Bank 1 Sensor 1 is the first O2 sensor and Sensor 2 in next inline in the exhaust. Supposedly both sensors are the same part number. Have read that it is recommended both be replaced (Rockauto.com) even if only one is bad. Just ordering one nevertheless.
