I have an '02 with the Banks Power Pack on it, I bought the truck with 20,000 miles on it with the Banks already installed on it. I like the power that the Banks gives the truck and I do know that I could have more power for less money than what the Banks does provide but it wasn't my dime. My question is after replacing the lift pump and injector pump at 64,000 miles should I hook the Ottomind back up on my pickup and risk tearing up another injector pump while still under warrenty. Yes my local dealership did warrenty the parts and labor, but my father-in-law is a tool salesman and had alot of pull with the service manager. I really like having the added power and the use of the gauges that only work with the ottomind. Would it be worth hooking up a fuel pressure guage determine when the next LP is going bad, or do you think the Ottomind caused the damage to my IP. Sorry I do not know what pressure my lift pump had when I took it to the dealership.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I would hook it up. I ran my truck stock and still lost an injection pump. Actually two. Both lasted about 33k miles each. Fuel pressure was always good. Chrysler made the dealer and me jump throught he hoops to get it replaced. I don't beileive the ottomind will tear it up any quicker than stock does to istelf.

Bottom line is these pumps are keeping the injection pump rebuilders very happy.

Hook it up, it's not a bad box. The catch is get a fuel pressure gauge so you know when your lift pump craps out. You're box didn't ruin your VP, your lift pump did.

Hook 'er up!!!!! When I installed my FP guage I realized that I had 0 PSI at idle!!!!! Dodge replaced my LP without any problem even with the banks tapping the wire!!

ottomind

I've had my Banks kit on for about 20,000 when I lost my injection pump. When I lost the VP-44 it was due to a bad lift pump and it was replaced under warranty. As soon as I had a fuel pressure gauge and booster pump installed it the ottomind got hooked right back up. I'm running a FASS system now after my Holley booster pump died and so far my VP-44 is happy. In my opinion I don't think the ottomind will bother your VP-44 any. I would strongly recommend getting a fuel pressure gauge though.
