I got my truck 3 month ago and it has always had this dull rattle that seems to be coming from the firewall. Its not blatantly loud but if I dont fix it I will probably need a straight jacket!Have any of you guys experienced this kind of thing with your rigs. The 01 HO I traded for it did no such thing. I thought it was the Pacbrake so put some pieces of rubber hose between the canister and the dipstick tube but its still there. Somebody please help :{

Check the exhaust manifold bolts on the cylinders closes to the firewall. I had two almost back out and heard the noise. I looked straight at it and did not see it the first time.

Check where the shift linkage connects to the transmission. On my truck the link that connects to the lever on the transmission was to close to the cooler line and rubbed in drive.

Well I did the lube on the shift linkage and it worked!That noise is gone gone gone!I cant thank you guys enough ramman and all,I would of never went there looking for it!Sprayed silcone lube (all I had) on both pivot points of bellcrank and viola!TDR rules
