I have a 03 1 ton . When my auto tran. shifts into overdrive any where from 50 to 55 MPH I here a loud thud . Almost like alot of pressure releasing . My neighbor has the same trk and has the same probalem with his. Anyone know what's going on???????I don't hear it when I'm throttling up past 55 and it shifts in .

what is your truck profile and what mods? could be turbo barking?

Its the TC locking up. They make a bit of noise if you are not in the throttle when it locks. At low throttle and 55 you are in the middle of the TQ band and it hits pretty hard. Run it up over 2k and the engagement is a lot softer due to the decreased TQ. At least I figured out that is what is happening on mine.
