My truck is a 2003 dodge ram 3500 5.9l diesel CUMMINS 4x4, with 248k km/154k mi. gear steering and solid front axle, quad cab. Laramie i think? its got leather and power everything alpine stereo

Im new to the ram world and this truck needs tlc but i cant even figure out which ball joints i need...
i tried online, moog live chat, called a few part stores but i keep getting different part #'s when i ask for a basic moog set for this truck. I really want to fix it myself and not have to bring it in much.

Please, can anyone shed some light on this situation for me? and/or anyone know which moog part #'s i need for upper and lower balljoints? This would be most helpful and i would be forever grateful.

Best I can tell you - stay faaaaaaar away from the MOOG balljoints, they have a bad history here in the Forum for binding even brand new out of the box. With these your truck will never again go straight down a road no matter how thight everything is and with the best alignment.

If you really wanna keep the truck an can afford it go high end like Carli or Dynatrac. If not choose EMF.
And do NOT buy knur2led ball joints or offset ball joints.

The ball joints are always the same, no matter which trim level the truck has.
2003-2010. So I really can not figure out where the problem lies with your dealers.

My vote is for EMF solid company and a well designed product. I'm running them no issue. Moog isn't worth the trouble and their quality control shows.

Geno's sells the EMF units, I may go that route one day. https://www.genosgarage.com/category/ball-joints

Moog doesn't have a good reputation on here or any other forum I visit. Always get the GOOD ball joints, don't skimp there! OEM has been fine on my 3500, I haven't changed mine yet. I would get EMF if I had to buy soon, but they are back ordered right now!

OEM / EMF's (More affordable) or Carli / Dynatracs... (Less affordable but they are so worth it)

Moogs will not hold up under these trucks....Personal experience..
