03 3500 ball joints bad ?

i was wondering if any body has had their front end start shaking when you hit a large bump or hole it dont matter on speed it is different every time i am thinking my upper and lower ball jonts are going bad but i want to just go and replace theme since it is pretty expensive

Could be anything from a bad shock(s), a bad tire, tie rod ends, or wheel bearings. Could even be a tire way out of balance, or mud/snow caked behind the rim. The only way to know for sure is to crawl under it and start checking everything.



It would help tremendously if we knew more about your truck. Lifted? Larger tires? A bazillion miles? Any front end mods? Bumper?
