'03 Banks Exhaust - Conflicting Info.

Greetings.



I just got off the phone with a sales guy at Banks and I was assured that, contrary to what I have read here, their '03 exhaust system retains the stock elbow.



People here have said the Banks exhaust does away with this elbow, making it the only true 4" system.



What gives? I would think the sales guy at Banks would know what he is talking about. I pressed him on the issue and he said absolutely not for an '03.



Can someone who has installed a Banks system on an '03 post a picture?

i have an 03' w/banks 4" monster exhaust... . cast iron elbow is sitting in my garage -- i keep tripping over it

Then this guy doesn't know his product line.



What about a "Big Head" waste gate actuator? He was trying to sell me that as well. I didn't think they made one of those for the '03 Ram/Cummins. It's not on their website.



I guess I need to call them back and ask for someone that KNOWS the Ram/Cummins product line.

Sorry about the dirt and road salt, it's been a tough winter so far in eastern PA.

We have had the Banks down pipe for 03-04 Dodge in stock before. It definitely replaces the cast iron elbow.

Now another question comes to mind. What will happen if a guy decides to go with a larger turbo at some point down the road? Do you think this exhaust will still fit?



I have been reading the forum for a few months now, and it seems like a larger turbo is a sure fire way to achieve desired EGT's.

Well I made an executive decision. I ordered the Banks exhaust from Diesel Power Products. (Don't tell my wife. )



Next I have to figure out what to do about gauges. I like the looks of the pillar mount, but I am concerned about them limiting my vision. I wish there was someone in my area with this mount so I could sneak look at them.
