03 dodge trouble starting

I'm having trouble starting my truck. it cranks and cranks but wont fire. if i shut it off and start it right after it will start, but if i wait for about 10 minutes it has a hard time. any ideas what could be the problem?

As above and maybe a leaking crossover tube. If you do a search on here you will find loads of info on this problem.

i was thinking maybe the lift pump, because it runs perfect once it starts

The ECM has to see a minimum pressure in the rail before it will fire the injectors. If there is leakage somewhere such as an injector or crossover tube this minimum pressure will not be reached resulting in a delayed start or as in my case, sometime a no start. This is not the only cause of a slow start, but has been a common problem.
