Anyone ever use the replacement seat cushion that Genos & Mopar offer? How bad of job is it to replace? How well do they hold up? I am setting on the side frames of the seat. Other options for seats?
The seat cushion is easy and the alternate supplier they have now does make a cushion that works. The OE cushion is history so aftermarkket supplier is what is making them now.
Only other option is an upholstery shop. I have done both routes and the results were excellent. The upholstery shop beefed the seat up quite a bit over what the stock cushion does but cost a lot more as I had the whole seat redone.
Went with a OEM dealer cushion. You just need to get a big screwdriver and 'unhook' the fabric edge holders off the seat frame. It can be done with the seat in the truck. It is a night and day difference in comfort. Almost makes me want to change the passenger side as well, but, I don't sit over there...
